We use vinegar to clean our coffee maker. Basically we pour it in the water well and run it through like coffee. Sometimes it takes more than one application. Then run water through several times. Hope this helps.
Yaya...Yes DesertRose is correct but be sure to run clean water through after the vinegar...you don't want vinegar coffee taste!
Can you tell us what brand coffeemaker you have. Many times there are instructions on the company website that can help you clean your coffee maker.
I just dump straight white vinegar in water reserve and run it thru then dump boiling hot vinegar in drain(garbage deposal, toilet, tub or even on some weeds in yard, sidewalk cracks) or even back thru coffee maker if you have really hard water build up. Then run several clear water pot fulls thru to rinse completely so any left over pieces of mineral deposits are removed. It'll work like new

Hello Yaya: What I do is add a cup of vinegar to where the water goes and run it through as if I'm making coffee. Then I run a full pot of water through twice to get the vinegar out. I do this every 5 or 6 weeks.
To deep clean your auto-drip coffee maker, add up to 4 cups of undiluted vinegar to the reservoir. Let stand 30 minutes. Run the vinegar through a brewing cycle. Follow with two to three cycles of fresh water until the vinegar smell is gone.
Hello Yaya, hope this helps.
Empty the reservoir, then add 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water
Turn on the coffee maker and brew a pot of vinegar water
You may need to do this two or three times depending on how dirty the maker is
Once the cycles seem to run good, you can rinse the reservoir and run a few pots to fully rinse.
