Call interstate moving companies and get quotes
A moving company. Not only do they do all the work but your stuff is insured too.
Professional movers who are fully insured. You can move small items in your vehicle, but pack everything else to survive a long distance move, paying particular attention to furniture corners. Movers will remove drawers and reinsert once they're in the truck, but all interior items should be packed in easy to lift boxes, with room where you want them and general contents clearly marked. Cover labels with strapping tape in case of rain. Use packing peanuts and bubble wrap, tissue paper, corrugated cardboard inserts, old towels or clothes you won't need for a while , as cushioning in boxes. Pack items you'll need the first week or so in a series of separate boxes, so you can readily access them.
Rent a u haul drive one way
Go with upack, they are the most inexpensive company to hire and their customer service is great. We moved last year to Oregon so welcome to Oregon. I would get rid of anything I don't need though. As I have learned that with my experience. I wish I would have gotten rid of large furniture. You can always buy as you do save money on moving then.
Hope it helps, and good luck,
