What is drain tube from? Wash machine,garbage disposal/dishwasher, Remove old one replace with longer one or you can add on piece but when you work with plumbing the less seams/connectors the better,less chances of leaks

In the photo I see the dishwasher hose connected to a copper pipe that is threaded to a check valve. Is that what you are talking about?
Yes. The threaded pipe doesnt accommodate the flex tube and doesnt allow for secure attachment.
