I would do some exposed wooden shelves above the toilets, use a lighter bath curtain (I have a white ruffled one) to make the room look bigger. Also, mirrors or a lighter paint color can help.
Pick a pretty shower curtain and pull a color from it for the walls. Of course, white curtains always look pretty with pale greens and blues for a spa like feeling.
