The way I started was by looking at yards i liked.Go around a nice neighbor and look. Don't stalk lol But notice places You go and like . This also lets You know what grows in your area. Got a gardener in your neighborhood ? You know the one, ask them, compliment their skill and like us here, most people will share. You have to keep sun in perspective cause many plants need different light requirements. Start this way n you will learn as you go and probably outdo your expectations.
Your question is too broad. What do you desire? What do you have to start with (soil conditions, slope, animal problems, water restrictions or excessive rains, sun or shade exposure, rocks, weed issues, your location, etc.)? Do you want a waterscape?
Are you physically capable of manually digging large, deep areas? Have you access to earth moving equipment? Do you have trees in your yard? If so, what type/age/height/spread. Oak trees emit alleopathid compounds making it difficult for other plants to grow nearby. Black walnut trees emit juglone. Pines can be very shallow rooted.

Walk around your neighborhood and see what you like, chat with your neighbors. Visit a reputable local nursery and chat with the Master Gardener on staff.
Or have a consult with a few landscape architects or designers.
I think that the easiest way to make your landscape more beautiful is to plant beautiful flowers or beautifully cut the grass at least. I'm not really a gardener, but I know for sure that in order to improve the landscape, you need to plant something beautiful. I know for sure that a lot depends on the soil and how suitable it is for plants. If you are not particularly a gardener, then I can recommend that you order fertilization in nampa that can help you with your problem. They can not only make your garden more beautiful by fertilizing the land, but they can also help to make your landscape much more beautiful and pleasant. They have many different options so they are perfect for you.
