How do I hide carpet edges on an outside porch?

The outdoor carpet is hiding damaged concrete. It only comes to the edge of the porch - it doesn’t wrap down the sides. The carpet is fraying and looks bad. Is there an edge of some kind I can put around the carpet? I plan to paint the sides of the porch a darker color this spring.

I would just cut off the frays of the carpet as they appear. You can also sew on a binding for carpet on all the edges. Good luck.
Hello, You might want to consider a hot glue gun to apply a sealing caulked edge. Potentially use a weather resistant rope edging or just use the clear glue that should be resistant to wear and stains.

I'd use small butane lighter torch easier than lighter cut off loose stuff then melt edge, just keep/lay wet cloth on carpet area you are working on along edge & water available to stop anything that might catch on fire.
