What is a homemade solution to get rid of ants on my granite kitchen counters?

    Powdered boric acid or food grade diatomaceous earth. Both of them should be put where their "trails" are located, and certainly they come in from somewhere else besides the kitchen counters. Both of them depend on them walking through the powders. One destroys their nervous systems and the other grinds through their exoskeletons.

    half sugar, half borax. mix, as a powder, I put it around the foundation of my house. for ants on counters, dissolve inn water, dip a cotton ball or 2 and set out on the ant trail.
