How to keep mold from growing in our worm bucket?
We have earthworms in a bucket with a cloth over the top. We keep them in the garage in the winter. Mold tends to form on the top periodically. Should I cover them with more moist soil or shredding or do something else to prevent this from happening? Thank you.

Did you make the worm bucket? If yes, may I have the directions?
Yes, I did. I am just trying to get it going, so it is all ātrial and errorā at this point. I am using a 5 gallon bucket with a cloth over the top. Started with a little good soil, shredded paper, vegetable scraps, composted soil, and coffee grounds, and worms dug out of the garden. Waiting to see if this will work. Thanks.
Moisture darkness=mold it's ok unless you are allergic to it. put less matter in bucket so worms can keep up with their job of breaking it down https://www.worm-composting-help.com/Mold-in-worm-farms.html
