How do you prevent outdoor spigots from freezing?
I would like to make something simple to use on outdoor spigots during the few days the temperature does not get above freezing. I don't want to let them drip and don't care to cut the supply off. I would like to make something I could slip on, off, store and use over!

Check the big box or hardware stores for a styrofoam cover. We used to have one and it worked well. But then my husband replaced the traditional type with one that is self draining every time you cut it off. It stands about 3 feet high and I love it.
The surest way to prevent your outside faucet from freezing is to replace your exterior faucet with a frost-proof sill-cock.
