What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
We're in the Midwest, so our winters are much longer than yours. However, the concept is the same. I put it on the landscape etc. in the very early spring, before anything starts to grow. It won't hurt perennials, so you don't need to worry about that. It will stop weed seeds from germinating. Therefore you need to get it out and working before that. In Wisconsin, I put it on the landscape in the early spring and again in the fall.
In the spring before everything starts to pop up. Read instructions carefully. Some may not be safe around children or pets, not to mention wildlife. Contact your local Ag Extension for best localized suggestions.
