You can't. All you can do is use stainless steel cleaner which polishes,too.
You can try to minimize by buffing with a microfiber cloth and a cleaner as suggested above or WD-40 or vegetable oil.
Marie depending how deep you can buff it with the cleaners. They don’t usually come out. Unfortunately they make them so they’re not magnetic anymore so you could cover it with a magnet or a picture
You might try car rubbing compound and soft cloth
