In our turn of the century farmhouse, we used ceiling tin glued and nailed to the wall as a backsplash. We were able to trim it to fit with tin snips, and used silver caulk to disguise the joins. It is easy to wipe clean and adds some shine in a room with white cabinets, malachite green soapstone countertops and dark green walls.
