Want to use left over vinyl to make backsplash but want to paint over it

If you are going to paint it, why Use the vinyl? Paint doesn't stick well to it and won't hold up to scrubbing to clean the backsplash, esp behind a stove or sink. Use something paint likes, like wood or just the wall. Or just use the vinyl and not paint.

You could paint it, but not sure how it will hold up. How about a peel and stick for back splash, it's designed for that use and come in a ton of awesome colors
