How do I landscape my small front yard on a budget?
My front yard is in shade year round . I live in Sacramento, CA and need to landscape this small front yard on a budget! I would like to have flowers or shrubs or both that will live in the shade and will be able to live through the massive leaf drop that happens every fall!

What kind of tree is shading your yard? Some trees are difficult to plant under or limits what you can plant under them.
Hi Marly - here is a site with lots of ideas for you: https://www.laspilitas.com/garden/California_natives_for_full_shade.html
Contact your local Agricultural Agency ... they can advise you -- and if you don't know what KIND of trees you have, take a good photo and get them Identified as some trees are just NOT friendly to planting under their drip line. ( the drip line is the outside limit of the branches/leaves where the trees feeder roots are to get water and nutrients )
Your local nursery should be able to advise on native plants that can handle shade well.
