How to prevent sliding on my entryway?
Larry BrownMy entryways (x2) are some type of vinyl ? When it rains or snows these 2 areas 48"by 62" simulated wood pattern become extremely slick with rubber soled shoes. All I have been able to locate in my area are thin, short (4x6") sandpaper type of self-adhesive anti-skid strips. I would like to cover the entire surface of both these areas, at my age (70 yo) a fall could be disastrous. Any Ideas for a product I could use?Years ago I used a product where a layer of epoxy could be spread then covered with a black/dark colored sand. Any idea what that covering might have been and where I might purchase it? I have tried Wal-Mart, Lowes and our local Ace hardware with little success other than the fore mentioned strips. You could try a heavy carpet with anti-skid pad underneath. The carpet will soak up the water from the shoes. You don't say if this an inside or outside area. Assuming it is inside.
