How can I upcycle this lamp for garden planter?
This lamp would be beautiful to up cycle in to a outdoor planter for my glass tabletop. What materials would I need to preserve the lamp for the elements? What would I use for the planter?

Have the footboard which is the mate to my full size headboard. Not going to use it for its “real” purpose. I’ve seen hooks added so you can hang things on it. ... See more
Love your kitty inspecting! Here is what I might try. Find a pot that is big enough in circumference to set on your table that is large enough to set this in the middle when the planter has been filled with trailing plants, flowers, herbs or succulents. Get a clay saucer and paint it white. Turn it upside down in the middle of the planter. Set the lamp on top. Refit the socket to accommodate a solar light.
Thanks Naomie!
I’d make sure the lamp parts are coated with two coats of UV stable exterior polyurethane, for protection.
UV can really down all materials.
If you want to take the lamp apart, it should all unscrew from a nut on the bottom.
Hello, I thinks you could put a coating of matte mod podge on it and it will be protected from the elements.
