There are several ways metal folding chairs can be repurposed for other uses, if that's what you'd like to do... They can be used as plant stands outdoors or made into a bench with several in a line (or two chairs facing each other) with a long board screwed to the seats. I hope this helps!
Hi Cat: You can paint them and put some cute pads on them. Or, if they're not good for sitting, you can cut a hole in the centre of the seats, about the size of a plant pot, and stick the pot (with flowers) into the hole and put them on your front porch or patio. You can even use the pots for herbs. Just make sure the holes are smaller than the rim of the pot so that the pot doesn't fall through. If you mess up and make the holes too big, then drill about 6 holes around the edge of the middle hole, stick some metal hangers inside these holes to use as holders for the flower/herb pots. You can make a curve in the hanger for the top holes and then bend the bottom of the hangers to go into the hole in the bottom of the pots to hold it in place, or make a sort of basket thing out of the hangers :)

Give them away to someone that can use them. Toss in recycle bin if your service accepts them. Repaint and use.
Have to admit i can not think of a way of reusing them, where I am we can take metal to a recycle bin
