Add labels, store spices, small screws, nails, office supplies, paper clips, craft supplies.
A coil spring, a wood ball, some bits of fabric, a touch of paint, and glue.... A mini kid's pop up toy!😀
I use mine to hold hair ties, bobby (hair) pins, Q-tips,in the craft room,in the office for those elusive paper clips. I don't paint mine but I suppose you could .
Glue the top of one lid to the underside of the next box, and so on until you get back to the first box, you'll have a waterwheel. Attach some spokes, put it on an axle.

Glue some pretty scrapbook paper around them, cut off the lids and use them as mini silk flower pots. Just get some of those glass stones and pop in your favorite flowers. Great for perking up small spaces. They would be amazing with orchids.
Those could be made into great travel candles, since they have lids! Just paint the outsides if you wish (no need to paint the lid unless making as gifts) and stencil an initial or flowers or whatever you'd like, and get wicks, wax and candle essence from Michaels (easy to make, really!).
Remove the lids, spray paint them, poke holes in the bottoms, and use them to plant succulents.
glue them together in a line and organize your pencils, crayons, crafts, bathroom things, etc
