I put ours across the top of a fridge and washing machine and that created more space on top and a cubby hole beneath. We keep bottles (alcohol), cat food, the fryer, glasses etc on top, and our hoover and sack of potatoes underneath. This freed up a lot of floor space.
I used ours as a desk/ craft arra. Placed the door over 2 small filing cabinets, and voila'. We also used this as a temp .aquarium stand.
