What can you do with shoes that peel, inside and out?
Shoes don't seem to last very long now. I have a ton of shoes, some quite expensive, and they all peel and crack---inside and out! What has happened to quality?
if they are leather you can put them in the freezer over night and the next day you take them out and put them on and they will stretch my aunt does this she says it works if they are fabric you just got to wear them and wait for them to stretch or buy a bigger size
There are stretchers out there that you can buy. Sometimes it works to wet the shoe and wear it or use a stretcher if they are leather. I always make sure my shoes are wide enough since I need room across the toes because of a few toes that don't lay straight out, but are curved (they have always been that way) No pointy toed shoes for me as I can wear them only for maybe a half hour to an hour.
If they can get wet without getting ruined, I would dampen them and put them on your feet over thick socks. Wear them for a few minutes and then leave them to dry. They should stretch all over using this method.
If leather after you have put them on mist them lightly with water then wear them if really tight wear thick socks & mist them several times thru out day, continue until comfy.;Plastic you cannot stretch and really should not wear terrible for foot health.;Cloth will stretch after time may be able to mist with water depending on dye & glues; Buy shoe stretchers anywhere Target,Walmart,Lowes,Home depot,Goodwill,Bed Bath & beyond,Amazon,Ebay ; Using Rubbing Alcohol "An alternative to this is to simply rub alcohol directly onto the parts of the shoe requiringstretching; put the shoe or boot on while still wet, as the alcohol will dry quickly. Another variation is totake a pair of cotton socks, soak them in rubbing alcohol and squeeze out the excess". You can also use NeatsFoot oil,Mink oil or Linseed oil but the oils will darken leather
