Please let me know how to remove double-sided tape residue from a silver plate?
First you can try putting a cup of vinegar and a cup of baking soda in a bowl full of water to clean the cases. If that doesn't work, try a degreaser to get the smoke residue off like TSP (trisodium phosphate). It's found in the paint section. It needs to be diluted and make sure you wear gloves.
A vinegar water solution will work. TSP will take care of that for you too.
