Cut the legs off the jeans about 3 inches below your new hemline. Then open the crotch seam and lay the piece flat like it is now a skirt. Using one of the cut off legs, cut a piece that will fill in the opening on the front and back to form the front and back of the skirt. Stitch the piece in place either by hand or maching. Reinforce with a second row of stitches. Then hem the entire shirt either by hand or machine.

You need to open up the crotch trim it up and cut to the length you want I would leave the length with out a hem
