Go by size one on one side then place on the other side keep doing that till you like it then plant them
Hi Suz. I'm Cindy. The best way to balance your landscape is by using groupings of plants in a few different areas. Same goes with trees. An asymmetrical balance typically has a more natural and casual feel. And is one of the most effective ways to make your front door the focal point of your yard. Try adding one or more trees and a hedge on one side of the door to provide height and a cluster of several low growing shrubs on the other side to balance it out. And remember, tall plants go in the back of a flower bed. Medium height goes in front of that, and low growing and ground coverings are in front. Whatever colors you choose, plant them in groups rather than one here and one there. Use that same color around your yard, even if using different plants. Good luck Suz.
Thank you for your suggestions.
