How do I repair cracking H2O based floor varnish?
This is 1st coat of Min Wax floor varnish on top off Annie Sloan Chalk paint on top of ceramic tiles. Only place peeling is in certain grout lines. Tile portion is fine. Did I leave to much residue varnish in grout lines and it dried and cracked? It's not everywhere just around these X joints mostly. Fix? Light sand and apply thinner coat of varnish 2nd coat?

I would say the chalk paint reacted with the grout. Sealing with varnish just caused the reaction to crack through the varnish

I would guess there was a sealer applied to the grout which did not work well with your new finish. Not sure how to correct??
