What kind of line? Can you post a photo?
Hello Pat! If your new baseboard is narrower and you have a little bump from layers of paint you can sand the paint layers down with a fine grit sandpaper until it is smooth. I would use a foam sanding block--about 4.00 at places like Menards. Then you can touch it up with your wall paint color. Hopefully you have some left over paint.
Add trim to the existing baseboards to cover up the line.
Either cut or scrape of a paint chip in an inconspicuous area and have it color matched at rhe paint department/store. You can buy a small can or jar.
