Bummed out! One of the kids put their foot with a shoe on it, on the couch and created this tear in the seat cushion. I’m wondering if I can sew it, instead of pay ... See more
Ok so the easiest way to do this is to go out and buy a CURVED Heavy duty upholstery needle. You will have to know how to hand-sew a little bit in order to get the seam sewed up again. You will have to make sure that the "right" sides are together the whole time you are sewing that seam. Good luck. I don't think in a seam on a seat you will want to use glue.
Thanks for the tip K! I may try doing just that.
Hi there Steve, Suggest too much pressure on the fabric, so my guess would be to use some sort of tape underneath which you could glue to the top vinyl fabric and then use Sharpies to colour in the gap to try to disguise............
You are correct John! It is a drivers seat and there is definitely to much pressure there. It may have to go to an upholsterer to be fixed. Thanks for the feedback!
