A fence around your garden area would be your best bet, but if that's not an option, you could try some wildlife netting over your sweet potato vines. Hope this helps!
There are certain plants that the bunnies don’t like...some are Sweet Allysum, Geraniums, Wax Begonia, Snapdragon, Strawflower and even tomatoes n hot peppers mcan deter them, these hv worked for me n they add color n I hvcut flowers for my table or friends...good luck
