What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Ajuga is very nice and has pretty blue blooms in springtime.
Sedums work very well in dry areas with poor soil. Myrtle, also known as periwinkle is pretty with shiny dark green foliage and flowers in white or blue.

Hi ! I would think it depends on where you live and what type of climate you have .
I live in the northeast US and on one side of my home I have pacasandra , I don't know if I am spelling it right ??? It is a green leafy plant the spreads quickly , I shape it each year by pulling out some of the plants and give it a more curved edge .
There are so many. Check with your local garden center to find what works in your area, but consider Sedum. There are tons of varieties it is super easy to grow. We have steeply sloped rocky soil. We used the drop and grow Sedum over most of our yard. We cut each square into 5" squares and in just a few years, it has spread beautifully. We purchased ours at Lowe's. drop and grow sedum
Check out ajuga. It's not picky about sunshine or water and it's an absolutely beautiful purple green plant. I live in MI and it spread nicely. Neighbors are happy and some even look jealous!
