A few light fixtures in my house will sometimes go out, but when I tighten the bulbs they work again. Any idea why the bulbs would get loose?

If they are made of plastic, you can tumble them in a dryer for a few minutes to warm them up and hang. If fabric, hang them and use a hand steamer. Clamp a weight (use the hinged paper clamps and a large stainless stele washer) to the bottom of each.

I wouldn't use a hand steamer, the fabric shouldn't get wet usually, unless they are washable ones. I would just hang them and weight them and the creases should come out. You could try using a dry iron, with a tea towel or other finer cloth over the blinds to protect them from the heat.
