What to do? which look do you like best? - help

Mary Insana on Jul 31, 2014What I would do before deciding which look you want is to go looking for baskets. You may choose picture #2 and have it all painted and find that you can't find the right size baskets or the same with picture #3. I personally like the one with the middle left alone, it leaves more of the carved design of the piece. But I would look for baskets before decidingHelpful Reply

Rich Alexandra Ziller on Jul 31, 2014Look 2... The drawers are what make it look more like a dresser and less of a kitchen piece. The door gives it enough character. The top drawers would be great for storing items like placemats. The long baskets would be great for fruits or veggies... I would use darker baskets to compliment the top.Helpful Reply

Teresa on Aug 01, 2014I personally like the piece as a whole...but I can visualize #2 with baskets and with the middle being used for storing wine and perhaps wineglass holders....Keep the door! If you decide to remove the drawers, save the drawer fronts and make something special with them.Helpful Reply

169756 on Aug 02, 2014Look 3 for me. The details on the front add so much character to the piece that I wouldn't want to lose that by taking away too much. With just the center as baskets or whatever it would look fabulous. Whichever you choose, please post when done. I also love the wood finish on top style with the rest painted. Fun fun project! Good luck.Helpful Reply

Cindy on Aug 05, 2014Whatever you decide to do ... paint all of the pieces anyway. It will allow you to change your mind. You can never go back and match something previously painted. You can get close, but you would always be able to tell that a certain drawer front or door was painted at a different time!!!Helpful Reply
