How do I put a metal roof on our old cabana base?
We bought a cabana with canvas top and sides. The roof was ripped off during the last wind storm. We would like to replace it with a metal one. Any suggestions on how to do so and what metal etc. to use. TIA

It gets really hot where I live and many have used courrogated metal. I have never done this myself, so I googled and found a bit of info for you.

The front should be slightly higher than the back so that there is a slope or pitch for rain run off to the back of the cabana. The ranchers here make stand alone structures similar to a cabana for their livestock to provide some additional shade. Did I mention it gets hot here? Brutally hot in summer for months on end with not a drop of rain. Since you get winds, i would bolt down for safety. Hope this gets you started. 🌞
what is the base/supports made of will it hold the weight of adding metal roof, aluminum is lightest weight but still needs good strong support and how is it attached to ground ? if huge strong wind comes again it could lift whole cabana because metal won't rip to release pressure here's DIY video how someone did it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoNMl5ugU_0 maybe Suntuf corrugated polycarbonate roofing panels lower cost lighter weight https://www.homedepot.com/p/Suntuf-26-in-x-6-ft-Polycarbonate-Roof-Panel-in-Clear-155030/206166246?cm_mmc=Shopping%7CG%7CBase%7CAll-Products%7CAll%7CAll%7CPLA%7c71700000014585962%7c58700001236285396%7c92700010802552352&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2K2bi5Dg4AIVrSCtBh3N3wJqEAQYBCABEgKCNfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
