How do we install a fan light?
It came with a 10" downrod, but my 12' ceiling needs a 36" downrod. The wires are too short to go all the way through the 36" extension.

You will need to provide your own wire and wire nuts to wire through an extension rod. Wire must be of same size and type of what comes with the fan or what is in your wall box. If unsure, call a licensed Electrician in your area for help. You don't want to have a fire due to mis-wiring.
The photo above shows connecting different colors. I'd suggest that you get wiring of the same color to avoid confusion. and never stuff wire nuts into a tube/rod.
Gotcha, thanks!
As Muggy said, the wire connections need to be contained in the ceiling junction box, not in the tube where there is no strain relief.
Hi Carolyn, happy to see you got this all installed!
