Do you have a bench and want to add concrete or do you want to build a concrete bench from scratch? You need to have a form in either case to pour the concrete into. Melamine works well to keep concrete from sticking. You may want rebar or wire mess in the middle.

Thanks so much. I been doing a little digging and I think I'll paint a "looks like". I wish to renovate my kitchen. I've chosen a concrete look for the benchtops. I don't wish to replace them, just give them a facelift. Thank you all for the help, much appreciated.
