Great idea, your pet will love it. Find a piece of wood that is thinner and longer than your three-step staircase, fixed in the corner,
That's a perfect ramp for what we need. Thank you
I’d start checking Craigslist. You might not have to build one if you can find one for sale.
I needed one and had my handy man cut a scrap piece of plywood to a length that gave us a gentle rise to top step. That means, as seen in some of the photos sent to you, it will be a lot longer than steps. He just screwed a piece of 2x2” as wide as the ramp to the top of top step and screwed the ramp piece to that and I covered it in outdoor carpet.
Be sure to make it a long low incline. I made one and it was way to steep. Dang Nga pictured is a great example!

Don’t u have other doors ? I use my front doors because there aren’t any steps !
I spent a small fortune building one with wood My Frenchie refused to go down. I eventually bought 2 of the plastic coated metal shelves. ( I have 5 stairs so I got 12 foot shelves) I Zip tied them together, so the lip of the shelve was on opposite sides and made for a sturdier ramp. Then cut a thick rubber runner in half to fit inside the lip of the ramp for traction and safety and under 50$ and an hour of time it was perfect. Hope this Helps.
Long easy rise ramp or very deep steps.
Get a plank from Lowes or Home Depot and secure it in place, how wide the ramp would be would depend on how much space you have available both length wise and width. You could ramp over the whole section of stairs.

For now you might consider building a wide long incline ramp for your dog and your family's use as well. Much less chance of falling as you haul groceries, etc. from garage to house.
