Plant veggies that will take very hot all day sum or put in self watering systems

Since I've only visited Tucson (and loved it!), my advice would be to check out High Country Gardens.com. They have a massive amount of information available. You just use the site and it will filter out the possibilities to give you a list of what WILL thrive in your area. You don't have to purchase from them, but the plants are guaranteed and are some of the best available. Know your elevation and what pests are around (rabbits, deer, squirrels) before you start. Have fun. It's a great learning experience!

Thanks for all the info. Very helpful. Maybe I will run into you while there and we can talk about the midwest and Tucson.

Contact your County Extension Office. They know everything about gardening and are so very nice. Since they are local, they know best.
