How to choose soil for vegetables in flower pots?
I would like to start gardening in large flower pots, put I don't know what kind of soil or what ever other mix to put in the soil for planting

always use a good quality potting soil; never 'dirt' from your yard; be sure pots have sufficient drainage.
I agree with using really good potting soil. I usually add a little more peat moss. Some plants have different requirements amending the soil, so check out your specific plants to see if they like acidic soil, or other things added. I use gardeningknowhow.com for looking up my plants when I get something I haven't planted before. They have many articles on almost every plant on care, problems you could have with disease, bugs, etc. It is a very good reference. Good luck with your potted plants, JoAnn!
