You can amend the clay with topsoil, compost and manure, but you may want to create a raised bed ans fill it with good soil.
Making raised beds would be simpler in the end than having to amend your soil each year. You can also use pots and even window boxes for planting almost all vegetable as long as they are deep enough for the mature plant roots and the size of the mature plant.
I think pails would be easier for me.. I live alone and am a “young” 72(: anna suggestions on inexpensive pails or buckets?? Thanks
