Call or visit your local nursery to get more information for your area and project. Take the pecan with you so they can best advise.
Call your local county extension office.
If you are in the U.S., you have probably had more rain and snow than usual. Too much moisture causes brown or black spots on pecans and other growing foods. Gather them as soon as they fall, let the outer shells dry in the sunlight or in the house where they won’t get rained on. When the outer shells have dried and opened up, the inner shells need to dry a couple of weeks or longer, then they are ready to be cracked open so you can “pick” the pecan meat out for eating. If there are black spots on the meat, gently carve those spots out and discard. You should still have almost all of the pecan to eat. I hope this helps you retrieve your pecan crop. Jewell
Dish washing soap mix with water half and half
Hi Nita, sounds like pecan scab, More than likely, the black spots you see on pecan leaves and shucks are due to pecan scab. Symptoms of the disease appear as small, dark lesions on the leaves, twigs and shucks. As the disease progresses, the lesions can expand and grow together. Hope this link helps you out.
