Hi Deyanira! Here's a tutorial on how to paint tile if you just want to change the color:

Or if you want to go with something more decorative, you can stencil them. The following technique will work on tile backsplashes too.:

You can simply stencil them!

Hello Deyanira. We recently changed the back splash in our kitchen. We went with tile that are sheets with long and thin tiles. It has different shades of silver and gray. We shopped all over the place and looked at a lot of tile. We were on a very tight budget for this project. We saved a lot of money by buying the tile and grout ourselves. We hired a pro from HomeAdvisors.com to install it. So, you can completely renovate a back splash without spending a fortune. Good luck Deyanira.

Yes! You Really Can Paint Tiles: Rust-Oleum Tile Transformations Kit
You can paint them. You can get stencils and you can google what kind of paint to use. It seems like I've seen on here somewhere where existing paint from another project was used. There are probably lots of sites and youtube videos on the subject. Good luck, whatever you do it will be beautiful.
