I have fruit flies and can't get rid of them. I don't even have any food or fruit out.
Hi, you'll want to get a small bowl and fill it 1/2 way with apple cider vinegar and 2 drops of dish soap. Swirl it around a tiny bit with a tooth pick. It will catch 'em

I do the same thing as Kim and it works great!
First identify and deal with whatever produce is causing the problem. Then I've poured a little apple cider vinegar, a few tablespoons, into the bottom of small bowl or wine glass.
While using the vinegar, if you are seeing them in or around houseplants you will need to stop the flies life cycle or they will just keep coming back. To do this first off do not water any plants for as long as you can, around one to two weeks. Then cover the soil in every planter with at least 1/2 inch of sand. then you can water again be careful not to expose the soil. The flies lay their eggs in the moist soil so the cycle of life will continue as long as they can lay eggs. Drying out the soil helps kill the eggs and covering the soil with sand stops them from crawling up out of the soil, it is an abrasive. Good luck. I did this and have been fly free for years. Even bringing new plants home the first thing I do is cover the soil with sand then dry out the pot. it works.
Hi, if the no seeums are coming from your plants then us a spray bottle of soapy water and spray the soil and around the bottom of the plant as well as the vinegar and dish soap.
