How to take care of a fig plant?
A few years ago, a colleague gave us a fig plant. We have followed his instructions to the letter but have not been able to get the tree to grow consistently and bear fruit. All we have got since then are two very tiny figs and nothing else. We live in CT, so outdoors is probably not a good place for it. A few weeks ago it looked like it was doing fine but now it is wilted and the leaves are drooping. Please advise.

Chances are you need to have it inside from late fall to spring. Then you need to harden it off before placing outside in summer.
Don't feel bad, I have 3 in ground trees and I lost the last 4 crops to drought and wind. Praying for a good spring crop this year!
