There are lots and lots of air cleaners on the market. They do not all require the same care on the same schedule. Some have washable filters, some have filters that can be vacuumed out, some have filters that don't require cleaning but should be replaced on a particular schedule like every 6 months. You should consult the manual that came with your air cleaner. If you don't still have it, look for the company name/ model on the cleaner. Places to look: on the bottom of the appliance or inside any door that opens. Once you find that information, go online to find the instruction manual.
Hi Dang,
Here's a link that may help you, there are many models and types of air purifiers out there, so it is difficult to be specific as to which one you have and when to clean it. Probably the best way to find out is to contact the manufacturer with the make and model numbers, they will be able to tell you if you don't have the reference manual that came with it.

I would vacuum the filter when I vacuumed the room. I washed it about once a month. Definitely check the manufacturer's recommendations though.
Hi Redcatcec!
I know each type of different air purifier will have different cleaning methods. In the context of so many air purifier manufacturers, I think there will need to be the most general guidelines for solving, thank you for sharing.
My air purifier is a tower design with a removable static charge style metal pieces in the middle. I remove the metal piece and clean it with a damp cloth. The dust still clings to the exterior grid so I take my purifier outside and blow it out with the leaf blower. The leaf blower even gets my refrigerator coils cleaner than the vacuum, but definitely do it before you clean the house.
I agree with, "Everything's Pretty." I google everything; big help.
This is probably not the best advice but I have a aero max 200 I love it I've had it for years the best air purifier I've had I completely take it apart and use alcohol wipes on the entire system inside and out on every washable surface then carefully put it back together the first time I did it I took a picture of every step I did so I would be able to put it back together properly if I came across a problem
I also use Google to find any information I need.
I didn't know that even in conventional cleaners it is necessary to change filters
Usually, when buying, sellers should warn you about how often you need to change filters. I have seen from personal experience that filters with removable panels are more suitable for me since I can wash them myself. I ordered these for myself about a year ago, and before that, I carefully studied reviews of air purifiers on https://www.airpurifierfirst.com/buying-guides/best-air-purifiers-with-washable-filter/, so I know what I'm talking about. I like that I can control the pollution level of my filter myself, clean it at any time, and not wait for a conditional six months to change it to a new one later.
