How do I get ink from a gel pen out of carpet?
I have beige short ‘shag’ carpet. The dog chewed a gel pen, the ink has stained the carpet in two areas about 3 inch diameter circle areas. Thanks
Try this: 1/2 cup each vinegar and warm water and then add 1 Tblsp. dish liquid. Stir and then blot onto stain. After each dab with vinegar solution, keep dabbing with a clean cloth until the stain is removed and then cover the area with a clean cloth until it dries.
Hairspray will take ink out of clothing, I’m thinking it will work on carpet as well.
It is the alcohol in the hairspray that takes it out, blot after each wetting.
What kind of ink? Do you know where it is from?
You could try hairspray or rubbing alcohol, but it depends on the material your carpet is made of. Make sure it won't damage the carpet.
