How do I clean my deck?

I live in Wisconsin and spring of 2018 cooking oil was spilled onthe deck. Cleaned it with dawn dish soap & whatever else I could think of, got a lot of it out but but discovered this spring after the snow melt that it turned black, any ideas?

I had that too. I lightly sanded and pit on another coat of paint stain.
Make a mixture of dawn and oxi clean. The stuff to add to a washer for whiter clothes. Wet the deck first with your hose then use a deck brush to put the mixture all over the deck rinse with the hose and let it dry. You may have to do it twice where you spilled the oil but it'll clean your deck without using that deck cleaner sold in stores. I do it every spring and it works great. Good luck.

The dawn dish soaps do work well—but a deeper cleaning with a degreaser might be helpful, I would suggest this one with a stiff plastic brush. That spray cleaner is what I often use on my concrete driveway for unwelcomed oil leak spills from serviceman. It works very well. If your decking is porous— it may need a sealer application.
There are degreasers on the market made for garage floors so look for this in your local hardware store.
Menards has some deck cleaners, I wonder if they’d do the trick.
