The facings -trim-around the doors allow cold air to come in. How can I get these drafts stopped
Hi Ann. I have had that problem too and I have put the kid safety plugs in them. It stops the air from coming through when there isn't a plug in the socket. Here in Canada you can also by little foam pieces at Home Depot that fit under the plate and provides some additional coverage. Hope that helps.
The foam pieces that fit behind switchplate and outlet covers work well. If too much space exists, you can try placing two behind the cover plates.
You can also insulate around the outlet in addition to the foam insulators and plugs if there are gaps around the box.

Foam outlet covers are super cheap and definitely help.
Get those little foam insulators you put behind the outlet plates. They're remarkably effective.
