How do I prevent moss on siding?
Each Spring, one ritual/chore is to power wash the North side of my house. The green moss has reappeared on our vinyl siding and it must go. But each year it returns. Is there anything I can do to prevent it’s return?

Here is an article that might help - https://homeguides.sfgate.com/kill-moss-siding-43307.html
Hi Jim,
Have you tried using bleach after you clean the siding. Once you finish power washing your home add bleach to a spray bottle and spray the areas that are effected with bleach. ( These are the dollar store spray bottles I like).
Moss grows is very well in shaded areas. Additionally the north side of your home will get the least amount of sunlight, adding to the shadiness of the home/siding. Personally, my parents tried the bleach technique i listed above. However, the algae and moss situation didn't get drastically better until they cut down several pine trees which allowed more light in.
Hope this helps! Lauren - The Little Lake Cottage
Use a mold/inhibiting deck cleaner and scrub off the old microscopic roots.
Then rinse with fresh bleach water.
We cleaned ours with a product called Wet it and Forget it. It really works. Most hardware stores carry it.
just use table salt and it stops mould growing
