Hi Mark, you can build a platform out of wood or some other material and coat it with a no slip surface, that will sit on the seats so it is not so deep and turn the temperature down to 85 to cool it off.
Do you want to abandon the heating and circulation features?
If so, you’ll need to drain it and re-fill it, based on how much it gets used and how many leaves fall in it.
I would buy a hand siphon pump for the dregs.
A hot tub is not a pool obviously.
The construction and plumbing’s very different.
I suggest lowering the water temp and keep it as a hot tub.
Any water source can be a danger and hot tubs can be deeper than kiddie pools so please be careful about that. Good luck!
