Your end product depends on the prep!!!!!! I know many say that doesn't matter with certain paints....but believe me it matters!!!! Sand everything down. Use a steel wool after sanding to get it really smooth...use kilz primer in sprayer. ALSO...the paints are a huge factor for kitchens and bathrooms. You will want to use something super heavy duty for that kind of traffic! If you are putting the time in to prep them well and paint them well you will want a good paint that will last. Benjamin Moore ADVANCE!! $50 per gallon but it's so worth it!!! That paint is an excellent cabinet paint and you don't need a topcoat. If you can use a sprayer on your cabinets you will get an excellent finish! I seriously just wipe it down when it gets dirty. Anyway, hope this helps.
Cheryl...Clean well..sand where needed..prime then paint. Many paints have primer in them now so you can save a step. If you remove the doors be sure to mark so you can get each one back to the place they belong.
Prep is key for a good paint job. Here's how I painted mine: https://www.semiglossdesign.com/paint-kitchen-cabinets
Hi Cheryl, I would do chalk paint but prep is very important, lightly sand and clean with TSP before starting to paint
