How do I extend my hose spigot?
My hose spigot is in the area where my enclosed garbage cans go. I have to pull the garbage can out in order to turn the spigot on. How can I add an extension to the outside of the enclosed area so I can turn the hose on and off without having to move the large garbage can? Thank you!

I would build it out of pvc pipe, paint it and attach it to the house, with a new hose bib. You can put a riser on it, if you make a drain valve for winter freezing.
Sketch the elbows & lengths you need and start a Parts list on that sketch. Think like a plumber: how will this be installed? Where do you start?
Go to the biggest DIY store you can find and get help picking out the parts, including a new hose bib. Don’t go on a weekend, if you expect to find help. Or go to a real hardware store and pay a little more for real help.
Youll need to buy a pvc pipe cutter unless you’re fine with a hacksaw and hand filing every cut. Buy both the primer & the pvc cement.
Prime Paint it after it’s assembled and tested. PVC is not UV stable and must be painted.
they sell hose bib extenders https://express.google.com/u/0/product/9626350254645985756_12068998644018822001_5643243?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=tu_cu&utm_content=eid-lsjeuxoeqt>im=CJ6F_rGn98KjKxCJ0o68iPHI9E8YsKL1CyIDVVNEKJDS1OUFMOu32AI&utm_campaign=5643243&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIu8vLnqi54QIVqh6tBh3AWQG2EAQYASABEgJfkPD_BwE you will need additional hose or just a piece of hose to attach it to faucet, it pushes/sets down into dirt so you can move it to where garden, flower beds, yard area or pound piece of rebar into ground then set this over it you can get them many places here are places pricing https://www.google.com/shopping/product/12068998644018822001?safe=active&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&biw=1366&bih=657&output=search&q=+yard+butler+hose+extender+bib&oq=+yard+butler+hose+extender+bib&prds=hsec:online,paur:ClkAsKraX6_jz23NqmewsFLwDOYFTN5kD8S-A72OSs09aSGNtUJ0X_-kzvl_kAhg_Qn2_Nl1_kS2MRspJQfPYuDWH2VCC5O1349YITpwwRUrx5MptJjsK0VsFhIZAFPVH72cMqe95ukLdl2fRV5IRy3vffmwJQ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjvwL_arrnhAhX7CTQIHejzARMQ2SsIDg
You could put on a short length of hose, enough to come out of the faucet at a length to make it comfortable to attach your hose to it. If you put on an on/off type valve, you can turn it on and off from the end of your short length of hose.
You can buy claw extensions to turn on spigots. They look like canes with a claw on one end. They use them in gas and oil fields and also truckers use them. You might try Ace Hardware, truck stops and Napa hardware if you local home improvement store does not have one. Hope this helps, it would save you adding onto the faucet that way.
Just put a hose on it
