How big? Do you have a downed tree to cut up? If so, just cut into slices. Needs to be "seasoned" before you can use for food or crafts. Set in sun for 6 months to a year depending on thickness and type of tree.
The fastest and easiest way is to use a chainsaw. You can use a hand saw if you have one that’s long enough and it’s not too big around.
I agree with Naomie. Definitely let them season to dry out. Otherwise, they can grow mold.
If your making small slices such as those used for coasters use a band saw. Or by hand with a bow saw
Yikes, that happened to us and it was awful. It was also winter so we put drops of essential oils in our vents (just a couple of drops per vent) and whenever the heat ran it helped. Good Luck.
